Be careful with the ceasar, tastes just like anchovies paste. The only side that was good was the potato. The sides and steak came out and it was just horrible! They took the steak slices that they pre slice and just threw them on the grate, so now our steak has no flavor but a charred flavor. Our waitress put our order of sides in and took our steak to be cooked a little more. We ordered the Kansas NY strip board and asked for steak medium. At this point I'm appalled at the situation but I just know the food will make up for it. Another gentleman comes up and asked if we had been helped, my husband stated what had just happened and his response was, sir your reservation isn't until 7:30(it was 7:29,we arrived at 7:15)follow me please as he sits us at the same table that was already sat up on the patio. Chandler preceded to seat another table before us with no reservation and preferred seating. These 2 older women walked up as we were supposedly waiting for a table to be "set up"(no reservation) Chandler asked how many, would you prefer inside or out? Her response was OUTSIDE please. About 5 minutes of him walking around he came back to tell us we can sit outside but they would have to set up a table(WHAT! there are plenty of seats available) thinking ok maybe those just might be reserved. He states I don't think so give me a minute(mind you half of the tables on the patio weren't being occupied). He then proceeds to look inside for a table(we requested patio seating by the sax player when reserved reservation) so husband asked if we could possibly sit outside. Chandler finally acknowledged us about 10 mins later to see if we've been helped, ummm no that's why we're still standing here. Arrived a few minutes before our7:30 reservation and waited to be seated. WORST VALENTINE'S DINNER EVER! Went here a few weeks ago and everything was perfect. No one wants to be annoyed by music when they’re trying to eat. We will try one more time in another month or so, but we’ve decided that we will walk in, listen to the music to see if it’s calming and not nerve-wracking, before we sit down. It’s a nice restaurant and the owners need to figure this out. But if you want the Melbourne community to want to come BACK to your restaurant-because you have good food-you still have work to do in grasping that this crowd prefers CALM music, or maybe even no music at all. I assume they are transplants from Miami or some urban area up North. Not sure why the owners don’t seem to have a handle on the Melbourne community. But honestly, the music was still not the vibe I think this restaurant should be going for, in this particular community. It allowed us to finish our dinner without having a headache. It was a less annoying playlist, not so loud and fast. Finally, the waiter (?) came over and said he’d spoken to the general manager, who allowed him to pick another one of the owner’s playlists. It ruined the atmosphere and made it hard to concentrate on the food, which was good. Most of the patrons were in their 40s-70s, and they all seemed annoyed by the music. How old are the owners-19? Are they into the Miami club scene or something? It is completely tone deaf to the Melbourne community. The manager was also nice and said the playlist had been provided specifically by the OWNERS and he couldn’t change it. But the music was still unusually loud, so we asked to speak to the manager. We had a sweet waiter who turned down the music a couple of notches. WTF? It was sooo annoying-not the relaxing ambiance we expected of a high-end steak place in Melbourne. To make matters worse, it was ear-worm, high-pitched, South Beach-style club music-COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE for a nice restaurant in Melbourne. But as soon as we sat down, in a nice round booth, we were struck with how LOUD the music was. BUT: We were seated inside, which was nicely lighted (the outdoor area with big lighted palms is also lovely).
